Agama adds strategic decision support and extends Telco grade capabilities |
|
Today Agama has announced a product line extension enabling quality aware operators to reach a new dimension in their quality assurance ambitions for TV services. Based on Agama’s portfolio of end-to-end real-time TV service monitoring products, the new Enterprise Server EX and Performance Management add-on will enable operators to add an analytic approach to their real-time operational quality control. With this product line extension we now enable a new big leap forward for quality aware operators. By adding an analytic approach to conventional end-to-end monitoring, Agama’s solutions will support the entire operator organization in strategic decisions and question formulations, such as; ‘Do we have satisfactory and equivalent perceived user quality in different cities or areas?’, ‘What parts of our network need upgrades to support our next TV-offering?’, ‘What is our most common problem, and is that problem related to certain kinds of equipment or services?’, ‘Which channels do our subscribers really watch, i.e. is our channel packaging optimized?’, ‘Can we extend our business in providing information on e.g. which channels/ads are actually viewed?’, ‘What’s the perceived response times of our middleware, etc?’, and so on… Based on the flexibility of the existing and proven Agama Digital TV Monitoring Solution for collecting information from the whole delivery chain from head-end to each and every set-top box for use in day-to-day operations, the new Enterprise Server EX and Performance Management add-on will extend the Agama solution to also support the management, planning and strategy parts of your organization. Agama announces release 2.4 of Agama IPTV Monitoring solution |
|
Agama is proud to announce version 2.4 of the Agama IPTV solution, where Agama introduces true end-to-end monitoring capabilities through the release of our new Embedded Monitoring product.
The Embedded Monitoring Solution is based on a light weight software probe that is integrated in the set-top box and reports monitoring data back to the Enterprise Server through a scalable aggregation architecture. This unique design adds a cost-efficent solution for last-mile monitoring in even the largest sized IPTV networks.
New in the Enterprise Server is the Geographical View which allows real time end-to-end monitoring status to be overlayed on images. The image can be a geographical map or a network logical image and is totally user defined.
The 2.4 version of the Enterprise Server also includes:
- A Compare Locations report which allows delivered quality to be compared in several locations using a selected location as reference, for instance the ingress point for the IPTV streams in a network. - Alarms have been improved and extended with user perceived qualiy and technical quality alarms. - A communication self test which makes deployment easier. - Improved usability through quick selection of time intervals.
In the Analyzer, the 2.4 version adds a Real Time Network Measurement view which allows parameters such as jitter and bitrate to be shown in real time graphs. This allows for more advanced troubleshooting of network problems, as well as detecting streamer problems. Also included is the new Network Overview which shows IP related parameters for all channels such as sender IP, bitrate, jitter and packet loss.
If you have a support and service agreement with us you can upgrade your licenses to version 2.4 free of charge. They are now available for FTP download. |
